GlobalEgMus web page: Statuette of a brewer stirring mash The statuette represents a standing man with his pegged arms outstretched one over the other; originally he hold a stick in his hands. He wears a short garment and a wig covering his ears. The body is painted red, the whites and the garment are white, the wig, eyebrows, eyelids and pupils are black. This may be an image of a brewer stirring mash in a pot. Height= 40 (cm) Note Preservation: The lower legs, feet and stick are lost. The surface is weathered, pigments are partly lost. | |
