| GlobalEgMus: -- This wooden model, which was acquired by an exchange with the Museum of Cairo, was part of a larger group representing a butcher's scene. It is a young bovine, sculptured in medium high relief. Above the eye, indicated by a black point and a white circle, one notices a small hole in which a horn must have been placed. The object, which symbolically assures the necessary provisions for survival in the Afterlife, dates from the Middle Kingdom. height=4.2 cm. length=7.3 cm. depth=1.4 cm. | |
